Federal employees deserve to plan their lives with greater confidence, even when the government’s funding is uncertain.

A shutdown reaches far beyond the workplace.

A shutdown can interrupt a paycheck. It doesn’t pause rent, groceries, or childcare. For a household, that uncertainty can turn everyday decisions into difficult ones.

Shutdown Hero is being built to help federal employees maintain financial stability through those interruptions. We want to make it easier to prepare before a shutdown and keep life moving when one happens.

We’re developing a membership concept that begins before a shutdown. Its purpose is to help bridge the gap when normal federal pay is interrupted.

The financial and program details are still being developed. Pricing, eligibility, funding, and any financing or repayment terms have not been finalized. There is no membership enrollment or financial assistance available on this site today.

Respect for your information.: Ask for information for a clear purpose, make optional questions easy to skip, and explain how responses are used.
A politically neutral mission.: Focus on the financial uncertainty caused by shutdowns and the people affected, without taking a political side.
